EQUAL CHANCE'S AFRO WORLD WELCOMES OVER 7 000 PEOPLE FROM HOME FOR THE 2020 ONLINE FESTIVAL

On October 24, 2020, the LIVE Stream of the 2020 AFRO WORLD FEST of the Equal Chance foundation welcomed over 7 000 people who watched safe from the comfort of their home. The pre-recoded festival which can be accessed online paid tribute to the Algonquin Anishinaabe people with opening remarks made my Elder Albert Dumont and a traditional dance by dancer Gabriel Whiteduck that opened the festival. Afro World welcomed and celebrated local artists, entrepreneurs, organizations and community builders while also highlighting the beauty of our city and addressing racism. The festival honored local community builders and encouraged Dialogue within all members of our society with a dialogue titled "I HAVE NO WORDS - THESE ARE MY WORDS" in collaboration with Producer and photographer Debbie Holness-Miller of DHMPhotography.
